Who We Are

We are Ehsan and Afsaneh

Between us, we bring over twenty years of experience in interior design, spatial design, and the craft of making decorative objects by hand. But experience alone doesn't explain how we work. What shapes every piece we create is a design process rooted in industrial design thinking: we begin not with aesthetics, but with the person who will live with the object. How will it be seen from across a room? How does light move across its surface at different hours? What does it feel like to stand in front of it?

Our Process

Concept First. Craft Second. Compromise Never.

Every Afsi Style piece begins as a concept — not a sketch, but a question. What should this object do for a space? What problem of atmosphere, scale, or texture is it solving? From concept, we move to prototyping. Each design is tested, refined, and tested again before it becomes a finished product. The execution drawings, the construction details, the material tolerances — these are worked out before a single piece reaches a customer. This is the discipline of industrial design applied to handcraft: the rigour of a system, the warmth of a hand. And because we design and build everything ourselves, customisation is not a service we offer reluctantly — it is simply part of how we work. Size, colour, finish, form: all of it is adjustable, because we have no factory constraints, no minimum orders, no fixed moulds. Only skill, process, and time.

We are conscious of what we put into the world. Our materials are chosen not only for their aesthetic qualities but for their environmental footprint. We work with mineral composite plasters, natural pigments, and reclaimed wood — materials that are durable, low-waste, and free of harmful compounds. A piece that lasts twenty years on a wall is, in its own quiet way, a sustainable choice. We design for longevity — not for seasons, not for trends. What leaves our studio is built to stay.
